Recruitment, a challenging job
At the Beauséjour Regional Health Authority (BRHA), recruiting employees is always a challenge and the mission of the institution makes it even more so. The main purpose of the BRHA is to offer the best possible health care and services, in both official languages, at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Therefore, as an employer, we recruit a vast range of employees that have very diversified and specialized skills. Our staff, committed to offering the best health care services possible, is able to serve our patients either in English or in French. While the local job market in the Greater Moncton region is a highly competitive one, the national market is equally so. But no matter, as an employer, the BRHA has a master card in its deck.
Future challenges for motivated employees
Approximately 2,500 employees work at the BRHA, including health professionals, nurses, medical technicians, support and administrative personnel. Managing and recruiting such a wide range of personnel is a major challenge because it is essential that work force needs be met. The BRHA regularly recruits qualified personnel to maintain and develop programs and services that are always geared to the best interests of our patients. We require motivated candidates for all our postings and we want all our employees to offer their best efforts and skills. Work conditions are excellent and the BRHA also enjoys a good relationship between its unions and management.
A vision that reflects our passion
Everyone knows that the health sector is subject to constant and rapid evolution. BRHA management is always at the forefront of new health breakthroughs and is a leader in several different health sectors. The BRHA has definitely put into practice the proverb “Necessity is the mother of invention”. Several projects – including four centres of excellence – were created after our employees suggested innovative solutions to specific challenges. Their resourcefulness had significant positive impact on many levels. Particularly, employees that were actively involved in these innovative projects gained unique professional development opportunities. As a new decade approaches, we know we can count on a significant asset – our employees – to meet the new challenges that face the health sector.
An employer of choice in a unique region
While the BRHA offers employees significant and unique professional development opportunities, it is also true that the region provides an excellent standard of living. Residents in the Greater Moncton area are able to live their personal and professional lives in French, if they so wish, enjoying diversified French services, whether at the cultural, social, educational or community-based levels. As well, the region’s natural environment is attractive, with welcoming cities and suburbs that provide many community, school and university facilities. Finally, the region offers residents a good balance between work and home, in a region that enjoys constant economic growth.
