Description:
The Psychology Department of the Beauséjour Regional Health Authority recognizes the close interaction between an individual’s biological, emotional and social activity. From a general perspective, a psychologist studies how we think, feel and behave from a scientific viewpoint and applies this knowledge to help people understand, explain and change their behaviour.
There many reasons why people choose to seek treatments with a psychologist. Goals can include feeling less depressed, feeling more comfortable in social situations, improving pain management, changing behaviour, or increasing self-esteem. The Psychology Department serves inpatient and outpatient clienteles.
